Big Hair Superfan offered George Hincapie a little push on the climb yesterday and got some big love from Cippolini and laughs from the other riders. Check out the photo gallery for more pics!

Looks like Big Hair Superfan and the road crew, along with Fabian Cancellera, of course, got the TOC off to a raging start. They got to hang out in the VIP area during the time trial and rub elbows with cycling’s elite-while the rest of us got to watch it on tv. Speaking of which, I scanned the coverage on VS last night and I did not see our feathered freak…I mean friend…hanging over the rails at all-so they must have managed to behave themselves in the VIP area!

Last year the Tour of California set records in crowd attendance and this year looks to be even bigger. Big Hair Superfan knows that the dedicated fans get there early just so they can chalk their favorite riders names on the ground and grab the best spots to catch the blur of the peleton as it zips by. But the wait can be a long one, and BHSF wants to do what he can to keep the crowds lubricated and pumped up!
So this year, Big Hair and the road crew will be passing out bottles of BHSF water so the fans can stay hydrated in the most freakalicious way possible. Also, they’ll be giving out all kinds of swag, gratis-so if you like that kind of thing, keep your eyes open for the Big Hair Superfan!

BHSF let me know that he’ll be meeting with Bob Roll at Main Street Cycles again on Feb 10th-so if you’re in the area check it out! Last year Bobke hung out and chatted with fans after being entertained by meeting the Big Hair Superfan.
If you aren’t going to be in the area you may as well stay home and switch on the tv-Versus is airing the 2008 Tour of California preview.

BigHair Superfan and members of the road crew will be attending the VIP Hospitality event in Palo Alto on Sunday, February 17th. So if you were planning on hanging out in the VIP tent you may get to rub elbows with the BHSF! I wonder if the Govenator will be there again this year? That would be an automatic winner in the photo contest, I would think.
BigHair Superfan will be having his own VIP experience when Bob Roll comes to Main Street Cycles. We’ll be announcing the date and time for that meeting soon-so keep checking back!
